LT Automation provided the service to supply, install, configure and commission the OSIsoft PI System and multiple third party, PI-Based applications for all of PREPA’s Power Plants, Transmission and Distribution, Environmental and Corporate Sites. The PI System is an ongoing project with an end to end approach starting from the auxiliary equipment at the power plant level, through T&D and SCADA, and ending at the customer side’s meter head. It's also used to securely publish operational data at the website level to comply with EPA regulations and local Transparency Laws. The configuration also allows for the authorized personnel, on or off site, to have operational displays with real-time data to make informed decisions. The PI System has over 250,000 data streams, 25 physical servers, 75 virtual servers, firewalls and infrastructure, all managed and maintained by LT Automation with a 99.9% availability. It operates over PREPA’s IT/OT Network.
